Vendor Accountability Starts with Meaningful Standards.
Professional estheticians depend on manufacturers and suppliers for products, devices, education, and technical information. The information supplied by those companies should be accurate, accessible, and appropriate for professional use.
The Esthetics Council Certified Vendor (ECCV) program is being developed to evaluate participating vendors against published professional standards.
ECCV is intended to provide a structured review process, not a purchased endorsement.

What the badge means, and what it does not.
THE BADGE
What it means
The ECCV badge indicates that a vendor has completed the Council’s applicable review process and met the published requirements of its approved category. It does not represent FDA approval, independent clinical validation of every product, or a guarantee of product performance.
CONDITIONS
Badge use
Only vendors holding a current, valid award may use the ECCV designation and badge. The badge must identify the approved company and, where applicable, the product category or scope of review. It may not be presented as government approval, accreditation, medical endorsement, or authorization to practice beyond applicable law.
RENEWAL
Annual review
ECCV status is subject to annual renewal, with updated documentation, disclosure of material changes, and reassessment against current program requirements. The Council may investigate material complaints and suspend or withdraw a designation when program requirements are no longer met.
What ECCV reviews
1. Business and Product Transparency
• Verifiable business identification and contact information.
• Clearly identified manufacturer, distributor, or responsible company.
• Accurate product descriptions and intended-use information.
• Appropriate disclosure of product limitations and restrictions.
2. Regulatory Documentation
• Applicable product and device regulatory information.
• Review of relevant FDA documentation where required.
• Accurate representation of registration, listing, clearance, and approval.
• Appropriate product labeling and instructions for use.
• Evidence of compliance with applicable requirements, within the scope of the Council’s review.
3. Safety and Professional Use
• Access to relevant safety documentation.
• Appropriate warnings, contraindications, and precautions.
• Product or device operating information.
• Adverse-event reporting and complaint-handling procedures.
• Relevant professional training and safety guidance.
4. Education and Marketing Claims
• Accurate representation of product capabilities and limitations.
• Substantiation for material performance claims.
• Review of marketing claims against FTC advertising guidelines.
• Clear separation of manufacturer training from independent professional certification.
• No representation that vendor education expands an individual’s legal scope of practice.
5. Professional Support and Accountability
• Technical and customer support contact information.
• Product documentation available to professional purchasers.
• Procedures for communicating safety updates, recalls, or material product changes.
• A process for responding to identified concerns.
FEES AND AVAILABILITY
ECCV review: $1,000 per year.
